I would steam your face (cheapest way - put a damp wash cloth in the microwave until its hot then leave it on your face for about a minute or so. ) then wash it and put cold water on your face right after you wash it to close your pores back up, then steam your face again and put on the mask.
Steam your pores open, cleanse your skin, put on the mask.
