Does Shaving your face everyday stimulate the growth of facial hair?

I have seen the same question asked various times asking if shaving makes facial hair grow faster, thicker and darker and i have seen many different answers. Some people say it does really work and some people say it doesn't. Has anyone tried it? and if so does it work? im just curious and i want a true answerDoes Shaving your face everyday stimulate the growth of facial hair?
Short answer: No! People get this impression because when you shave, the ';ends'; or points of the hairs become blunt instead of soft. So it feels rougher, but the growth is the same. The hair might look darker but it is only because the length is uniform. One theory for the origin of the myth that shaving makes a beard grow faster is that humans perceive change by proportion.

I would have to say it does.

The first time i shaved i had a good bit of facial hair, but then i shaved and two days later it was already half the length it had been. Also, my ex girlfriend liked a happy trail, (line of hair from belly button to privates) and i had a little one, and i tried experimenting by shaving, testing the same question, and it did grow back faster, darker, and the hair was slightly ';stiffer'; i guess would be the best word, like harder in a since.

Granted thats not facial, but i would be willing to bet on it,
