A friend of mine is HIV positive. He has a T-cell count of under 1000. Since we are both gay we say bye by kissing on the cheek. It was hot and we were sweating.His facial hair scratched my face. I was concerned his hair broke through my skin. Can he infect me this way. With any break in the skin you must always show concern. But the deal is that I am glad that you do not treat him as he is a virus as most people do with those infected by HIV. However, if you research you will find it would take tons of saliva or sweat to be infected...such as gallons. Now, if blood to blood or a sexual encounter were in the factor that is more dangerous for contraction than it ever would be with sweat or saliva. I hope that helps. Good Luck!!
Stop worrying and just go and have the tests, unless you do this you will never be at peace. Saliva or sweat makes it impossible unless you have buckets and buckets of sweat like a bathtub full. then the chances are like a million to one. If he had a cut on his face and you had a break in your skin well that maybe a worry but unless you have the tests you will never know. In the meantime practise safe sex better still dont have sex untill you are cleared, im sure you will be ok.
if you ask a doc, or any governoment health site, they'd say no. it only spreads thru sex, sharing needles and blood transfusion. but those same doctors would never want their kids to think the same. bottom line is, stay away from any risky behavior. there are remote cases of hiv spreading thru sharing tattoo ink. no cases of spreading through sweet. or through hair. if you started bleeding on the cheek and he was bleeding on the cheek and then you euro-kissed then it would have been a possibility. so i'd say, there are no chances but to be more sure, get tested after 90 days and then again after 180 days. keep getting tested regularly every 3 months or 6 months. and don't take risks. don't play with fire. if you get anxious after meeting that friend, be nice to him but stay at a safe distance. your life is a gift and its your responsibility to keep urself safe.
You were not at risk. With his T-cell is under 1000 are they close to 1000 or closer to 200? if it's a high number (500+) that is very good.





To get HIV you must have unprotected anal sex (since you are openly gay) Kissing, even a deep french kiss will not hurt you (this is from personal experience as my partner is HIV+)
I can't see there being a problem......as you say his facial hair broke through your skin - was their any blood?


I would say the chances of infecting you this way are extremely slim, but as you are worried, go %26amp; see your GP who can offer his/her medical knowledge %26amp; reassure you.
not any cases i've ever heard off, kissing, touching does not transmit that well, but i wouldn't do the whole anal thing
