Warm steam opens pores on the face; does cool steam close pores on the face?I am purchasing a facial steamer.?

I also want to have the capability to attach a nasal steamer to the device and warm steam my nasal pasages due to chronic sinus infections. Thanks.Warm steam opens pores on the face; does cool steam close pores on the face?I am purchasing a facial steamer.?
cool steam? do you even know what steam is? steam has to be hotter than boiling water by definition. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steam

anyway, you can splash your face with cold water to close your pores.Warm steam opens pores on the face; does cool steam close pores on the face?I am purchasing a facial steamer.?
First, it is a myth that steam open pores and that cold closes them. Steam will soften the hardened keratin cells of the skin, but not open or close pores.

Another thing is the nasal attachment. Although steam can help moisten the nasal canal, bacteria loves warm, moist tissue to grow in. If you do have a sinus or nasal infection, without antibiotics to combat the infestion, you may be making the problem worse.

Jeff
Yes cold water does reclose your pores but try this after doing your facial with the hot steam get a rag and pour cold water then pat on face once done with that use a tone cleanser it will sting a little bit but it cleans your dead skin.
I'd just splash my face with cold water after the warm steam. You could also use a toner after the whole steaming.

As for the chronic sinus infections, people are getting amazing results using a simple Neti pot. See your local drugstore.
always accompany warm steam with cool steam. if the steamer has both warm and cool steam, then do it. if not, after warm steam, wait for a few minutes then splash with cold water

warm steam is good for nasal passage clearing. got for it
