Is it normal or healthy to use facial wipes daily to clean the face? ?

is it healthy to wipe the face daily withe facial wipes? doesn't that have bad chemicals or what?Is it normal or healthy to use facial wipes daily to clean the face? ?
it's fine if you're in a pinch or are too tired to wash your face--there are skin-conditioning agents in them that keep your face from drying out. they're definitely not a substitute for washing your face thoroughly, though.

and if you're concerned about chemicals, you should worry about everything else, too. cleanser, moisturizer, toner, serum.. they're all loaded with chemicals. Is it normal or healthy to use facial wipes daily to clean the face? ?
no its not good to use facial daily . you can use it once in a two day
Yes I'm sure it is I use them every night to take off my make up I use fragrance free ones cos they don't sting if you get it in your eye haha but that's probably just me :)
yeah it's fine

  • Are facial cleansers that burn your face bad for your skin?

it's clean and clear. Are facial cleansers that burn your face bad for your skin?
it won't kill you but your skin is probably too sensitive for that cleanser. the chemicals in it are to harsh for you. my face is really sensitive too so i usually use just regular soap and it seems to work really well for me. its usually dove or olay because they moisturize as well. you could try that. i found that sensitive skin types should probably not use cleansers that have chemicals like sylic acid that are commonly use in most cleansers and acne wash. i would try something on the natural side. try using apricot scrub from st ives but i think that still has sylic acid in it or something like that. i used this Burt's bees orange face wash and it worked really well. it also left my face really soft.

i hope that somewhat helpedAre facial cleansers that burn your face bad for your skin?
Burning sensation, I would say bad, wouldn't you?

Aveeno makes an oatmeal bar that's amazing. That's what I use and I drink a lot of water and green tea and have cut out all my dairy because I'm lactose intolerant.

    My skin is really clear.

Use witch hazel toner on a cottonball and a light oil-free moisturizer.
Yes they most certainly are because they have harsh chemical based ingredients in them... which are causing that reaction on you.. A good one I would personally recommend is this one...

Yes. Clean and Clear use harsh chemicals.

Since it burnt, you probably have sensitive skin. Use Dove Soap and Aapri Facial Scrub.
If its a cleanser and it burns more than a tingle, then yes! it's bad for your skin!!! stop using it! Clean and clear is one of the harsher cleansers out there.

try neutrogena products, they're much gentler for your skin

I just bought a facial foam and i don't exactly know how to use it.should I apply it and leave it for a couple of minuts and then rince it or just use it like regular soap and wash it of immediatly?

My face cream has a UV protection cn i use at as a sun screen on my hands ?How is a facial foam used? Also, can I use my face moisturizing cream on my hands?
apply a foam cleanser like you would any other type of cleaner. Gently work it into you skin using the tips of your fingers in a circular motion. You do not need to leave it on too long, and doing so may cause dryness. After working the cleanser in, you can simply rinse it off with luke-warm water or use a damp cloth (which can also help buff and exfoliate the skin). If you want to exfoliate and tone do so (in that order) following cleansing (I do this every other day). Your facial moisturizer is last. facial moisturizers are meant for use on the face and are usually lighter than other body lotions (to prevent the clogging of pores). Using your facial moisturizer as a hand lotion isn't taboo but the facial moisturizer will not moisturize your hands as much as it would your face and it will probably wear off easily. If you are looking for a more moisturizing lotion for your hands opt for a hand and body lotion or a sunscreen with moisturizer which will be thicker and richer. You may also want to consider wearing light and lace gloves during the summer if you are concerned about sun damage to your hands. I am in Japan right now and many women wear such things for additional skin protection. How is a facial foam used? Also, can I use my face moisturizing cream on my hands?

After Having a stroke some people are known to develop a facial droop on one side of their face?

Is this a permanent condition or a temporary one. Is sugery reqiured to return the person face back to it's original form? Thanks to all who answeredAfter Having a stroke some people are known to develop a facial droop on one side of their face?
Hi. I'm a speech-language pathologist with 12 years of experience working in hospitals with adult neurogenic population. After stroke, it is common for people to have facial droop ,as you called it, on one side of their face. The techincal term for this is dysarthria and it is caused by damage in the brain on one side (generally the opposite side of where you see the droop). This is very similar to when you see someone paralyzed on one side of their body after stroke.

Anyway, dysarthria is caused by damage to the areas of the brain that control motor movement of the facial muscles. It sometimes co-occurs with swallowing problems, dysphagia. A speech pathologist is the proper person to treat this disorder. She will evaluate the strength and range of motion remaining in all of the oral structures and design a program to help strengthen and restore tone to the affected areas. It is likely to see improvement over time but the person may not reach 100%. Often ther do so well, though, that someone who didn't know them before the stroke, won't be able to tell.

If the dysarthria is also causing trouble with speech intelligibility then, the speech pathologist might teach overarticulation, a technique designed to exaggerate the pronunciation of all speech sounds to approximate more normal speech.

One side note, someone else mentioned... Bell's Palsy can also cause one-sided facial droop. This is thought to be caused by an infection of the facial nerve (a cranial nerve). Treatment for this is different and there are some experiemental treatments using electrical stimulation.

Hope this helped. After Having a stroke some people are known to develop a facial droop on one side of their face?
Hi I'm starting a group online and in person for people with aphasia and related disorders. Check out http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SPEECHCONNECT or email at SPEECHGROUP-subscribe@yahoogro鈥? Thanks Report Abuse

It depends... a person may present with a droop and it may go away or improve after the stroke..but if it is a moderate-severe stroke it usually is permanent. If the stroke is 'bells palsy' then in over 90% of cases it will disappear within a year of incident. I have never heard of surgery performed to restore face.
Sometimes it may go away with physical therapy, but usually it's not a droop it's called paralazation. And it isn't something to kid about!
Facial paralysis is a very common after-effect of a stroke. I've never heard of any type of surgery that reverses paraysis.
I am no doctor, but as I understand it, it depends on the severity of brain damage. The droop can sometimes be improved over time as the brain ';rewires'; itself. I have no idea what sort of therapy can help promote this. I just know that my grandfather had a stroke, and he drooped for a while, but it gradually got better.
There are a couple of reasons for facial droop after a stroke. Depending on the location of the stroke (either cortical, subcortical, or brainstem), and the type (hemorrage, ischemia, or thrombosis), prognosis varies. Muscular function returns best after hemorrage (if the hemorrage doesn't kill you) or thrombosis. Subcortical and brainstem strokes usually mean better recovery of facial droop, if the lesion isn't large.

Speech pathologists encounter these patients every day and know how to treat the different types of stroke. Exercises to increase lip closure and sucking behavior will increase the likelihood of recovery. Usually, though, it is only partial recovery.

No, they don't operate in cases like this. The reason for the facial droop is nerve damage, and surgery wouldn't help.
A speech therapist can also help a stroke victim regain strength and motor control of the muscles around the lips. Not only is lip-closure and clear word formation worked on but so is normal biting, chewing and swallowing skills. One such exercise is to blow bubbles using a plastic wand. Another, is to say the nursery rhyme, Baa Baa Black Sheep over and over. And, yet another, is to drink a thick shake using a straw.
it is permanant and can't be helped by surgery
its caused because when you have a stroke its basically a blood clot that affects the brain. when this occurs blood cant flow properly. the muscles in the face basically get paralyzed. no it cant be fixed by surgery.
sugery is not required in most cases it simly goes away. the strokee caused the nerves you could say to go on consious dont worry it will heal it self

When using a facial scrub, how long will you keep it on massaging your face?

For about how many seconds or how many minutes? When using a facial scrub, how long will you keep it on massaging your face?
About a minute to a minute and a half. You don't want to irritate your skin by scrubbing too long. You shouldn't use it every day either. Use it at most every other day. When using a facial scrub, how long will you keep it on massaging your face?
u can do facial at any time bt remember u have to do this from specialised person n it took 2hrs
take close to one minute, but use the upward motion of massaging to retain the faces shape.
I use it for some 10 minutes, but I use it once a week.
    i say around a minute
may be 5 minutes. dont do it vigorously.
you should scrub your face wiht it for about 30 seconds or so.
    1 Min.
Most recommend 30 seconds or more. I probably hit around the 15 second mark on average.

Real Beauty Begins With Healthy Skin

The skin is the first line of defense and our face to the world. But too often, we don鈥檛 protect and nourish it as we should.

There鈥檚 nothing more beautiful than healthy skin. How many times have you wished that your skin still felt well-toned and had a healthy glow like years ago? The truth is that over time, our skin can become dull and dry.

Every day, every hour, every minute, our skin feels the effects of the sun, wind, cold, humidity, and dryness. If the skin isn鈥檛 protected against the abuses of the elements, the result is visible damage and signs of aging. When it comes to maintaining beautiful skin, nothing compares to a combination of good nutrition and the regular application of a quality skin cream.

I know of a skin Perfecting Cream that contains a specially prepared milk protein isolate. Two other important ingredients work to beautify your skin:

Emu oil hydrates and moisturizes the skin.

Sodium PCA is a naturally-occurring component of human skin that is thought to be responsible for an ability to trap moisture.

Together, the milk protein isolate, Emu oil, and Sodium PCA work to help shield your skin from the effects of the environment.

Traditional moisturizers are often pleasant to use but do not really moisturize the skin at all. Instead they consist of a thin greasy film that attempts to hold moisture in.

On the other hand, this Skin Perfecting Cream works below the surface to help maintain healthy-looking skin. Over time, skin will look softer and healthier and feel naturally moisturized.

The Skin Perfecting Cream I am recommending is most effective when used daily. In addition a tightening, lifting sensation will be experienced.

  • How to remove my facial hair without hurting my face ?

hey i tired to remove my facial hair with wax, bucking, everything and when ever i do it i get pimples :s so0 wat should i do

and i dnt want to try lizer or anything like that ...any helpHow to remove my facial hair without hurting my face ?
Try the tweezy, I use it and it's great for removing hair where you definitely don't want to put a razor. How to remove my facial hair without hurting my face ?
Well, except shaving, waxing/threading are the best solutions. Threading is slightly less painful than waxing, but it takes longer. Also, if you wax/thread, it's easy for skin to get infected (causing pimples) so you need to put on some Witch Hazel for the next 3 days and nights after waxing. If the skin feels tight then just keep the routine. Spot cream doesn't really prevent the infection.
    Like they say, beauty hurts.

Try going to a pro (beautician) and see what he/she does.

Sometimes you have to be persistent and your skin will get 'used' to the little beauty insults to it. But making sure that the area is clean and sanitized before you work on it may help.
i use clippers when i don't want to shave...some clippers are made to get extra close......

Is going for a facial Ca make my face clear?I have lots of acne and blemishes?

use anything with ';benzoyl peroxide'; its a peeling agent that gets rid of pimples, blackheads and zits and it kills the bacteria that causes pimples

it comes in 2.5%, 5% and 10% dont use the 10 cuz skin will peel to much the best is 5%

i just got it from my doctor this prescription with 5% BP its been 1 week and all my pimples are gone!!!!

im 20yrs old and i never got pimples till 2 weeks ago i freaked out and the doctor gave me this and it works

Also, try ';Clean n Clear Persa-Gel 5'; its awesome its got 5% BP so you dont have to go to the doctor and get a prescription lotion its sold in shoppers drug mart (i got it for $6.99)

Wash your face with dove sensitive skin soap, and then pat your face dry then put on ';Clean n Clear Persa-Gel 5';, after it dries up on your face, it will make your face dry so use LOTS of face lotion (dove day lotion) if you have to go out somewhere, other wise leave your face dry because pimples grow in moist, oily environments thats what my doctor said

Also, you can try Neutrogena On the Spot its got 5% BP in it.Is going for a facial Ca make my face clear?I have lots of acne and blemishes?
I use papaya kojic and licorice base soap and cream which are

    available online. These work wonders.

Maybe it will work on you too.

Try searching it through Google 'shopaholic's bargains'Is going for a facial Ca make my face clear?I have lots of acne and blemishes?
Facials tend to disrupt the skin and make it irritated. I use this brand called Dermologica. and its worked wonders for me! The over the counter stuff for skin really dries the skin out. If you have to use drug store stuff the best Ive found is Neutrogena Stres-Relief cleanser and neutrogena on the spot treatment. But if you have some money then I suggest trying clinique or lancome

Can facial cleansers bleach your face?

My face is exactly the same.

Notice some cleansers say keep away from eyebrows and hairline?

Well on some they also contain bleach, so yea.

I have a tanned body and a white face, I'm trying to only use soap and water to clean my face atm, as my foundations never match.

What can i do to remove hair off my face?does anyone know of a cream that will gradually reduce facial hair?

so im a 20 year old girl with a hairy face, lol, okay i have peach fuzz, u know? and i have side burn. its really not that bad from far away but i have a problem...

i cant wax because it will break me out, does anyone know of a cream that will gradually reduce facial hair? What can i do to remove hair off my face?does anyone know of a cream that will gradually reduce facial hair?
I would suggest you to use '; MySpring It'; - facial hair removing tool. Its just like threading but you can do it yourself. Its actually a spring bar that removes your facial hair from its roots without damaging your skin. Moreover its cheap (just around 15 bucks), reusable (up to 6 months) and portable. I give it thumbs up!

PS: If you want to remove your facial hair permanently then you have to go for laser treatments, but they are way expensive! What can i do to remove hair off my face?does anyone know of a cream that will gradually reduce facial hair?
    Wax then Exfoliate .

    or ...

    Leg hair remover foam.

It bleaches hairs , then they fall off .

Allthough i dont think you should use that on your face , You'll prob. end up looking like michael jackson..
I know how you feel, it sucks having dark hair doesn't it? For the peach fuzz you can use any type of upper lip hair removal cream for women, it only takes about 5 minutes and takes off all the hair, some don't even have that much of a smell, also as they start to grow back you can pluck them. If you don't want to remove it you can get special bleaching creams for it as well and it just turns the hair really light and blonde, then they're hardly noticeable. I'm not sure about the hair on the side of your face, maybe you could try hair removal cream or the bleaching cream on them too, or just go out and sit in the sun for a while, haha! :)

Hope I helped, being a 'dark haired beauty' isn't all it's cracked up to be, not saying i'm a beauty or anything, haha. Hope you get it sorted, I'm still in school and I know I hate getting teased about it!! :)

Is there anyway a person can make their facial hair grow thicker and faster all over the face?

Yes, oddly enough if you shave more often it will grow back faster and thicker.

My husband winges coz i make him shave daily, and it now rows thicker and faster so he shaves in the morning and by that eve he needs to shave again lol.

If you shave once a day to start with you'll see a difference - but you can't control where it grows, you can only trim it where it does grow if you dont want it there. :)Is there anyway a person can make their facial hair grow thicker and faster all over the face?
You mean like a werewolf? Yes, drink a pint of ox piss every morning before breakfast. Is there anyway a person can make their facial hair grow thicker and faster all over the face?
yes, Retin A causes hair to grow. I think they've only just discovered this. It is medical cream for acne, which they have found also erases wrinkles after continued use. Now they have found it also makes hair grow.
    shave it

    grow back faster and thicker
shave it twice a day where you want the hair to grow.

well as far as i think almond oil isn't be used in cooking so u can going on use it even if it is a cooking oil cauz any cooking oil like coconut oil, mustard oil, olive oil etc could be used on skin as well.however the brand u've mentioned in ur question i dont know it's quality but if u really want to buy a genuine almond oil go for Dabur's Rogan Baadam Shirin this is the best available in market. Can I use cooking Almond oil for facial use as if like in facepacks or directly at face?
I am thinking that you should not....if the oil is indicated for cooking it probably is not free from bacteria and you should only use products that are pharmacutical grade not food grade...cosmetic grapeseed oil is great for skin...

I was wonder whats a good facial moisturizing cream cause my face gets very tight and dry?

every time I get out of the shower I need one that doesn't cause my face to get dryer and wont cause zits for a guy if that is relevant

Thanks for the help.I was wonder whats a good facial moisturizing cream cause my face gets very tight and dry?
It's a real jungle out there when it comes to choosing a good moisturizer for your face. I suggest you start by experimenting with a couple of different creams to determine which one is best for your skin type and provides the kind of results you're looking for. Below are some tips that will help narrow down your search and put your best face forward.

As a rule of thumb, the richer the cream is in terms of concentration and texture, the better it is for your skin. Unfortunately, it also means that it might be a little greasier, harder to apply, and probably less aesthetically pleasing. But as you can imagine, there has been a lot of progress in this area and you can now find creams that are easy to apply and non-greasy, yet extremely potent... but they will cost you.

    ingredients to look for

A good facial cream should be rich in essential fatty acids and oils, vitamins and minerals, nutrients, botanical extracts, and antioxidants (help prevent skin damage caused by the sun, pollutants, and other harmful environmental elements). Below are some ingredients you should look for when shopping for facial moisturizers.

Shea butter: Shea butter is used for its rich texture and strong hydrating properties. It is known as a particularly good moisturizer because it penetrates the skin quickly, leaving it feeling smooth and with no oily residue.

Glycerin: Glycerin is present in all natural and synthetically manufactured fats. It is used in moisturizers because it seems to attract and retain the right amount of water in order to maintain balance in the skin.

Silicone: Silicone is a slippery, water-binding agent used in some lotions and creams to offer long-lasting protection. But be careful with this one because creams that contain too much silicone can leave your face looking greasy.

Green tea: Green tea is an excellent source of antioxidants, and along with grape seed extracts, has become a very popular cosmetic ingredient.

More important ingredients, what to avoid at all costs, and the best way to apply moisturizer to your face...

Omegas: Omegas help moisturize the skin at exceptional levels. They are fatty acids that help replenish and maintain the skin's optimal moisture balance, not to mention help fight signs of aging.

Aloe: There are over 240 different types of aloe but only four that are recognized as having nutritional value -- aloe vera being one of the most popular. Basically, aloe will provide your skin with essential nutrients such as minerals, amino acids and vitamins. It is a potent moisturizing agent that helps regenerate and heal skin.

Carrot extract (Daucus carota): Carrot extract, also known as Daucus carota, is rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, C, and E -- all essential ingredients to keeping your skin healthy. It also contains carotene, ethereal oils, sugar, and pectic substances, which help prevent moisture loss.

Jojoba oil: Jojoba oil is another ingredient that will help your skin retain its moisture by reinforcing the dry skin's hydrolipidic film.

    more key ingredients

Other ingredients that you should keep an eye out for include sunflower seed oil (Helianthus annuus), sweet almond oil (Prunus dulcis), coconut oil (Cocos nucifera), alfa tocopherol (vitamin E), cocoa butter (Theobroma cacao), orange blossom oil (Citrus aurantium), rice bran oil (Oryza sativa), lanolin oil, xanthan gum, lecithin, bio melanin, eucalyptus citriodora oil, and riboflavin (vitamin B2).

    WHAT TO AVOID:

As a general rule, you should try to avoid facial creams that contain mineral oils, which are petroleum-based, because they might leave a greasy film on your skin and clog your pores as a result. Also, try to avoid products that contain SD alcohol and formaldehyde because they will dry up your skin instead of moisturizing it.

Keep in mind that you should consult a dermatologist before using any creams that aren't clearly hypoallergenic, especially if your skin is sensitive or acne prone. For example, creams that contain lanolin -- a wax derivative of sheep's wool -- can cause allergic reactions and are comedogenic (tending to aggravate or cause acne).

Throughout the winter months, you should keep the use of exfoliating products to a minimum (once a week) because they can suck the moisture from your skin. If you tend to have dry skin, especially during winter, you should also try to minimize your shower time and use lukewarm water.

In addition, try to avoid heavily scented creams as well as those that contain too many preservatives because they are more likely to cause allergic reactions. Examples of preservatives include propylene glycol, parabens, sodium lauryl, sulfate, and sodium benzoate.

For optimal results, opt for moisturizers that are non-comedogenic, dermatology tested, fragrance-free, and preservative-free.

    application steps

Now that you have a clearer picture of the ingredients to look for in a facial cream, here are some tips on how to apply it properly.

burts bees honey and milk body lotion. i know it sounds girly, but it is all natural, lasts long, not oily, and it won't make you break out at all. you can buy it at albertsons or walgreens.

I highly recommend an Apricot scrub, it works wonders for me, and its really cheap! I also use Dove products, they have this foaming facial cleanser I use once a day and it leaves my skin very soft, and I dont get the greasy T zone. The apricot scrub also eliminates my greasiness too. There are is also a product you can buy from any pharmacy or store that sells make up, I dont know what its called but there papers for blotching, they work AWESOME!!! so when your out and about and your starting to feel a little greasy, just pull out a blotch sheet and wipe it on your face and your good to go.
Dont wash your face with just any soap and water because it will dry your skin out. You should use Clean and Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser. Make sure it says oil-free or get one that says for Oily Skin. If you use make up make sure you get foundation that says oil free. Remember to rid your face of any make up before you go to sleep and to put moistruizer ( im sure i spelled that wrong lol ). Again make sure your moistriuizer is oil free. That's about it. Don't eat greasy foods such as peanuts or cup cakes because they give you acne and they make your face really greasy and they also make you gain weight which is bad. Anyway that's about it. Good luck.
Wash your face twice a day...once when you wake up and once before you go to bed...after using your face wash put a face cream on. Remember to only do it twice a day..or else it can get even more greasy.

Good Luck %26amp; Hope I helped

Murad Oil-Free Sunblock SPF 30. I have acne-prone, oily skin ---I apply this in the morning and pat it into my skin. A few minutes later the shine is gone.Reccomend facial sunscreen that does not leave face shiny?
Sunkiller sunblocks especially the powder one (white and light blue bottle) keep my face not oily the whole day. Bad thing about it is that it clogged my pores. However, I read in some forums that sunkiller sunblocks did not clogged the pores of some users. Hence, believe it still depends on individual whether sunkiller sunblocks will clog pores or not. Will give it 10 out of 10 for keeping my face not oily thou.
I love the Instant Mineral sunscreen by Peter Thomas Roth. It's a translucent powder sunscreen in SPF 30. I usually put it on over my makeup as it creates a nice matte finish. It's $30 at Sephora, but I found mine brand new for about $20 on ebay.
You should try a moisturizer that has SPF in it. I like Biotherm's moisturizing mattifying fluid with SPF 15. It's really light, and you can wear it under makeup and stuff. It's about $30.
neutrogena! i love that stuff and it works really good since it's oil free! the kind i use comes in a white/blue bottle

Will steaming the face help reduce facial fat?

after all sweating burns fat right? and i've read going to the spa burns fats too. Will steaming the face help reduce facial fat?
No. As someone mentioned in saunas they get rid of water in the body...once you drink a glass of water though it goes right back. There are some kind of strips you apply to your face and they actually take the ';fat'; or water out of your face, but again...once you drink something it goes right back to normal. There is no way to get rid of fat in your face in a matter of minutes. Facial exercises or the more expensive method of plastic surgery are the only methods that will work.

If you're still young...under 18, then your face and body are still growing and your face will get slimmer as you get older. If you are overweight though, exercising will help your whole body lose weight. I'm not overweight but once when I weighed about 122 I could see it in my face. As soon as I lost about 10 pounds my face slendered out...even though I was quite slim to begin with...I'm just one of those people that carry weight in their faces, for some odd reason. Will steaming the face help reduce facial fat?
Sweating does not burn fat. Nor does going to a spa. Raising your heart rate through vigorous sustained aerobic activity does.
    No.
steaming doesnt actually cause you to burn fat. In a sauna, water is lost rahter than fat. But i have heard that steaming your face can help gat rid of blackheads.
I believe all that's going to do is make your face hot, sweaty, and it could make it look like a prune for a while. LOL j/k. Crocodile Dundee suggests putting some cocaine in there. Should make you hyper and make you run around for a while. Exercise always helps burn the fat.
    no
